Update a scheduled appointment

Change an appointment location, then update a recurring schedule with the intended scope.

Mobile app

Schedules holds appointments and other scheduled events that are not shifts. This walkthrough changes an appointment's location, then changes how often it repeats.

You need access to the event and permission to edit it.

The scope matters most when you edit a series: This and following events leaves earlier occurrences alone. Check it before you apply anything.

  1. Step 1

    Find the appointment

Look under Upcoming Schedule on the dashboard, or open Menu > Schedules. Open the event and check its client, date and time.

  2. Step 2

    Change the location

Tap Edit, enter the new Location, then tap Save Changes and check the event now shows it.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the scope

For a recurring event, open Change Schedule. Under Apply to, This and following events — the default — covers this occurrence and the later ones, leaving earlier ones untouched. Choose All events in series only when you mean to change all of it.

  4. Step 4

    Apply and check

Choose Every 2 Weeks, check the scope, then tap Apply Change and read the next dates to confirm the pattern. If it is not what you intended, check the scope and ask your coordinator before making another series-wide change.

  5. Step 5

    Other edits

Edit also covers the title, time, notes and reminders, but not who the event is for. Change Schedule can also set an end date. If either control is missing, check your permissions, that the event is still upcoming, and whether it is part of a series.

  6. Step 6

    Other ways in

Edit changes one event's details; Change Schedule changes the repeat pattern. A single occurrence can be changed without touching the series, which is usually what you want.
