Inviting someone sends them an email with a link to join your organisation. This walkthrough adds one address, gives it a role, sends it, and follows it into Pending Invites.
The panel takes up to fifty addresses at once: type one and press Enter, or paste a list and it will split on commas, semicolons, spaces or new lines. Each becomes a chip you can remove. Assign Roles is optional and applies to the whole batch — so send a separate batch when people need different access. There is also an Auto-approve users option, which decides whether someone who accepts arrives active or waiting for approval, and a Personal Message that goes in the email.
Step 1
Open the invite panel
Go to Users and select Invite Users. If the control is missing, check invitation permissions with your administrator.
Step 2
Enter the email
Enter the colleague's email and press Enter to add it. Check the address, and remove anything you did not mean to add. This example sends one invitation; for several, check each address and each result.
Step 3
Choose the role
Expand Assign Roles and choose the role approved for their duties. Check what it grants — do not hand out administrator access for convenience.
Step 4
Send it
Review the recipient and roles, then select Send 1 Invite and read the result for that address. If it fails, check the address and the error, and retry only the failures.
Step 5
Check it is pending
Select Done, then open Pending Invites to find the address. Pending is about the INVITATION, not the email: they have not accepted yet. The status beside it is the email's — Sending, Awaiting acceptance or Failed — so a message that never got there is visible here rather than something you find out about later. If it failed, check the address; if it is awaiting acceptance and nothing happens, check their spam filtering.
Step 6
Inviting several at once
This invites one person. The panel accepts several addresses at once for a group starting together; check each address and each result, because they can succeed and fail independently.
Step 7
Read the results
Sending swaps the panel for Invite Results: one row per address with the server's message and a tick or a cross, under a line reading N of M invites sent successfully. If some failed, a Try Again button returns you to the form — it does not re-send the failures by itself, so re-enter those addresses.
Step 8
Track them in Pending Invites
The Pending Invites tab on Users lists everything not yet accepted, with the status the email is actually in: Sending, Awaiting acceptance, or Failed with the reason on hover. Declined and Cancelled show here too. From a row's menu you can Resend Invite or Cancel Invite. There is no invite link to copy — the email is the only way in.
Step 9
What the person receives
They get an email, and signing in shows them a Pending Invitations page with a card per organisation — who invited them and when — and Accept or Decline. Accepting switches them into your organisation straight away.
